Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in asphalt/concrete paving, sidewalk repairs, and storm drain maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and city regulations on all job sites
- Participate in snow removal and emergency response operations during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment usage, and project progress
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years of construction/labor experience
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and team collaboration
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Valid Minnesota Class D driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days
