Responsibilities
- Perform heavy physical labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (excavators, rollers, forklifts)
- Install and repair public infrastructure (sidewalks, drainage systems, traffic signals)
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale municipal projects
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance
- Document daily operations and project progress
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of heavy equipment operation experience
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (Class A/B)
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Knowledge of public works construction standards (WSDOT, DOT)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- High school diploma or equivalent
