Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, graders) for excavation and grading projects
- Install/maintain stormwater systems, drainage channels, and road surfaces
- Perform manual labor including concrete pouring, asphalt repair, and debris removal
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during construction zones
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement plans
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in civil construction or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of Tampa municipal codes and regulations preferred
