Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for construction, maintenance, and repair of city infrastructure
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and power tools safely
- Assist in traffic control and public safety during roadwork projects
- Load/unload materials and maintain clean job sites per OSHA standards
- Participate in emergency response efforts during severe weather events
- Complete daily maintenance logs and equipment inspections
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic construction methods
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Basic math skills for material estimation and measurements
