Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., sweepers, snowplows, jackhammers)
- Assist in construction and repair projects (e.g., pipe installation, pavement work)
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA guidelines
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for project efficiency
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
