Responsibilities
- Assist in construction and maintenance of city infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, parks)
- Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision (shovels, jackhammers, etc.)
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and material handling
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Support stormwater management and recycling initiatives
- Collaborate with crew members on daily project tasks
- Participate in emergency response operations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
- Valid driver's license preferred but not required
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of English for safety communications
