As a Public Works Laborer, you'll perform hands-on tasks supporting water distribution, street maintenance, and public facility operations. We provide paid training, advancement opportunities, and a collaborative work environment focused on safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, graders, and dump trucks for infrastructure projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and concrete work
- Conduct routine inspections of public utilities and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather events or public safety incidents
- Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment usage
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada Class C driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience preferred
- Certification in equipment operation (backhoe, loader) highly desirable
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of blueprints and construction plans
