Responsibilities
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, graders) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and transporting construction materials
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate work records and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital improvement projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool handling skills
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions precisely
- Previous construction or maintenance experience preferred
