Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, park upkeep, and utility installations
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, graders) under supervision
- Assist in stormwater drainage system maintenance and flood prevention
- Conduct daily site inspections and report safety hazards
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License Class E
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols
- Willingness to obtain Class B CDL within 6 months of hire
- Must be a US citizen or authorized to work permanently
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
