Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, graders) for infrastructure maintenance
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and asphalt patching
- Conduct daily inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Assist in snow removal and winter road operations during inclement weather
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Alaska driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Alaska residency required within 30 days of hire
