Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., excavators, graders) for construction and maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including digging, lifting, and moving materials up to 50 lbs
- Assist in road repair, drainage system installation, and park facility maintenance
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards for all work activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance tasks
- Support emergency response efforts during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of construction or public works experience preferred
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, dust)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
