Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (backhoes, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in road maintenance, drainage system repairs, and park infrastructure projects
- Read and interpret construction blueprints and work orders
- Maintain clean and organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Collaborate with skilled trades on complex municipal projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction/public works labor experience
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certification required
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong attention to safety and detail-oriented mindset
