Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street sweeping, pothole repair, and sidewalk maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery such as dump trucks, loaders, and street sweepers
- Assist in snow removal and emergency storm response operations
- Maintain public spaces including parks, plazas, and municipal buildings
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain equipment in optimal condition
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid DC driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction equipment or heavy machinery preferred
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and work zone safety
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedule
- Pass background check and drug screening
