Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, asphalt cutters) safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily inspections of public works sites using mobile reporting tools
- Collaborate with supervisors via remote communication platforms for task coordination
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols while working in field environments
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate digital records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 1+ years construction/public works experience
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with digital tools (mobile apps, photo documentation software)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material estimation and inventory management
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
