Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and street repairs
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, compactors) under supervision
- Maintain work zones with proper signage and safety barriers
- Assist in storm drain cleaning and waterway maintenance
- Support traffic control and construction site cleanup
- Complete daily equipment inspection and basic maintenance
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends
