Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure projects including road repairs, drainage systems, and park maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery safely under supervision (e.g., excavators, dump trucks)
- Assist in construction site preparation and cleanup activities
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues to supervisors
- Follow all OSHA and safety protocols for construction environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Hawaii Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year construction or public works experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and safety equipment
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to work in various weather conditions including heat and rain
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
