Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, drainage systems, and landscaping
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., jackhammers, graders) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response operations during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute community improvement projects
- Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and project progress
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal work
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
