Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city parks, streets, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including dump trucks, graders, and street sweepers
- Assist in snow removal and emergency storm response operations
- Conduct site inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Participate in equipment calibration and preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and safety procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
