Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance of city parks, sidewalks, and green spaces
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, dump trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in road repair, storm drain maintenance, and snow removal operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Tennessee Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years of experience in public works or landscaping
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
