Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, landscaping, and facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, power saws, and trenching equipment
- Assist in stormwater management systems and drainage projects
- Conduct routine inspections of public works assets and report maintenance needs
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on municipal improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment operation
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in variable weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
