Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, loaders, graders) for construction and maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, landscaping, and snow removal
- Inspect and repair public infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Follow safety protocols and OSHA standards for all job site operations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate project timelines and resources
- Complete daily equipment maintenance logs and incident reports
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B
- Minimum 2 years of construction or public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
