Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light to heavy equipment (e.g., trucks, loaders, graders) for construction projects
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events or public safety incidents
- Install and maintain traffic control devices and signage
- Participate in vegetation management and landscape beautification initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and department protocols
- Document work activities and maintain accurate project records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal maintenance
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
