Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including street repairs, park upkeep, and facility cleaning
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response activities during natural disasters or public safety incidents
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital improvement projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety regulations
- Maintain accurate work logs and documentation of completed tasks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to pass background check and physical examination
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
