Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy equipment (e.g., dump trucks, graders, mowers)
- Assist in stormwater infrastructure inspections and repairs
- Support emergency response during severe weather events
- Implement erosion control measures for construction sites
- Conduct traffic control operations during road work
- Maintain accurate work documentation and equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in public works or construction
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Texas Class A Water/Wastewater Operator License a plus
