Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, park maintenance, and facility upkeep
- Operate light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, small excavators) safely and efficiently
- Assist in snow removal, storm cleanup, and emergency response operations
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report hazards
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at all work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Adhere to all city safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Missouri driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability in all weather conditions
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and work independently
- Preferred: 1+ years of construction/maintenance experience
- Preferred: OSHA 10-hour construction certification
