Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, dump trucks, and street sweepers
- Assist in emergency stormwater response and flood control operations
- Conduct park and facility maintenance including landscaping and irrigation
- Support waste management operations and recycling initiatives
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and municipal work standards
- Document work activities and equipment usage in digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (backhoes, loaders, etc.)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Ability to work in extreme desert weather conditions
