Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery for road maintenance and construction projects
- Perform daily inspections of public facilities (parks, drainage systems, sidewalks)
- Assist in emergency response during hurricane season and extreme weather events
- Implement sustainable landscaping and urban beautification programs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement plans
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years experience in construction or public works
- Certification in water treatment or wastewater management preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Spanish fluency highly desirable for community engagement
- Pass background check and drug screening
