Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor in street maintenance, park upkeep, and facility repairs
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., mowers, sweepers)
- Assist with snow removal and winter weather emergency response
- Support construction projects including sidewalk repairs and traffic signal maintenance
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure issues
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Experience with hand/power tools and light equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of traffic control and safety protocols
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills
