Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and parks to ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Assist with construction and repair projects including pothole repair, storm drain maintenance, and traffic signal maintenance.
- Operate heavy machinery such as jackhammers, rollers, and dump trucks under supervision.
- Load and unload materials and equipment at job sites efficiently and safely.
- Follow safety protocols strictly and wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members to coordinate tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to public safety and teamwork.
