Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, debris removal, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (jackhammers, saws, compactors) safely and efficiently
- Assist in infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, sidewalk installation, and landscaping
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople on construction and maintenance projects
- Maintain clean work sites and proper equipment storage
- Complete daily inspection reports and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with public works or construction preferred
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions precisely
