Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including street repairs, drainage maintenance, and park upkeep
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, compactors, and asphalt spreaders
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents (floods, ice storms)
- Collect and dispose of waste materials following safety protocols
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety procedures
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions precisely
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
