Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and utility installation
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment (e.g., backhoes, graders, dump trucks)
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk construction, and drainage system maintenance
- Follow strict safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
- Inspect work sites and report maintenance needs
- Participate in emergency response during severe weather events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
