Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure construction
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and concrete installation
- Conduct routine maintenance on parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents (snow removal, flooding)
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with engineering teams on municipal improvement projects
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Class B CDL license preferred (training available)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and tool operation skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background screening
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (provided if needed)
- Must be available for 24/7 emergency response rotations
- Experience with GPS survey equipment a plus
