Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, paving, and landscape maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events (snow removal, flooding)
- Maintain clean and organized work sites following OSHA safety standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Document daily work activities and material usage accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Minnesota Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with construction tools and heavy equipment operation preferred
- Strong commitment to workplace safety protocols
- Flexible availability to work varied shifts including weekends/evenings
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical examination and drug screening
