Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, paving, and landscaping for city infrastructure projects
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers safely and efficiently
- Assist in road maintenance, sidewalk repairs, and storm drain clearing operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and departmental procedures
- Load/unload materials and equipment at job sites
- Document work progress and maintain clean, organized job sites
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Ability to pass background check and pre-employment physical
