Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling for infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment (e.g., jackhammers, saws, compactors) under supervision
- Maintain public spaces including parks, roads, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related events (floods, storms)
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers and supervisors
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or maintenance
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction materials
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
