Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for municipal projects
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws) safely under supervision
- Maintain public spaces including parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in road repair and traffic control during construction zones
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean work sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety standards
- Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality
- Pass pre-employment background check and physical examination
- Preferred: 1+ years construction or maintenance experience
