Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate light machinery (e.g., jackhammers, saws, pressure washers) with training
- Maintain city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related public works events
- Follow safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Collaborate with crew leads and fellow laborers on daily projects
- Complete basic equipment maintenance and reporting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in outdoor conditions
- Willingness to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- No prior experience requiredâtraining provided
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Laredo
