Responsibilities
- Perform heavy manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for municipal construction projects
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, jackhammers) following OSHA safety protocols
- Assist in repairing and maintaining sidewalks, streets, and drainage systems
- Execute snow removal, debris cleanup, and emergency response operations during weather events
- Conduct site inspections and report infrastructure deficiencies to supervising engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale urban development initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal labor roles
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with hazardous materials endorsement
- OSHA 30-hour Construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical activity in all weather conditions
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical examination
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and construction equipment
