Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for road maintenance, drainage systems, and park renovations
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators, rollers, dump trucks) under supervision
- Assist in traffic control setup and safety zone management
- Execute erosion control measures and environmental protection protocols
- Participate in emergency response crews for weather-related incidents
- Maintain accurate equipment logs and daily work reports
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Georgia driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic equipment operation skills (training provided)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- 1+ years construction or public works experience preferred
