Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, backhoes, and street sweepers
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, and concrete work
- Maintain public infrastructure including sidewalks, drainage systems, and traffic signals
- Assist in emergency response for weather-related incidents
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Document work progress and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Washington State Driver's License
- Minimum 1 year construction/public works experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Class B CDL license preferred
