Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and utility maintenance
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, forklifts, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Assist in road repair, sidewalk installation, and storm drain clearing
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Maintain accurate work records and equipment inspection logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Respond to emergency weather-related public works requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of construction/public works experience
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class B) preferred
- OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic understanding of blueprints and construction plans
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
