Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repairs, drainage systems, and park upkeep
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, dump trucks, graders) under certified supervision
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events (hurricanes, floods)
- Conduct daily site inspections and report safety hazards to supervisors
- Maintain accurate work logs and project documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with heavy machinery operation preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for emergency response
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
