Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, grading, paving, and utility installation
- Operate heavy equipment safely (e.g., backhoes, dump trucks) with proper certification
- Maintain public facilities including parks, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Conduct routine inspections and report infrastructure issues via mobile app
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project planning and scheduling remotely
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with digital reporting tools (e.g., GIS mapping apps)
- Experience with heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
