Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Operate light machinery (saws, jackhammers, dump trucks) with proper safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during weather-related incidents
- Complete daily work logs and digital reports via remote portal
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Adhere to OSHA and city safety regulations
- Participate in weekend/evening operations as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic computer skills for remote reporting
- 1+ years of construction/public works experience preferred
- Ability to work in variable weather conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
