Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, paving, and sidewalk repairs
- Operate heavy machinery safely (backhoes, loaders, dump trucks)
- Assist in traffic control and site safety protocols
- Maintain public parks, playgrounds, and green spaces
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs during storms
- Collaborate with engineers and construction supervisors
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety checks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Class B CDL license (preferred)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification
- Minimum 2 years construction/labor experience
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of NYC construction regulations
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
