Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater drainage system inspections and repairs
- Support park maintenance projects including landscaping and playground upkeep
- Participate in emergency response crews for weather-related incidents
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Complete daily work logs and equipment maintenance reports
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work outdoors in all weather
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred (e.g., tool maintenance)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Experience in construction, landscaping, or municipal services preferred
