Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and dump trucks for construction and maintenance projects
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, paving, and landscaping tasks
- Install and maintain public infrastructure such as sidewalks, drainage systems, and traffic signs
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and city regulations at all work sites
- Collaborate with crew members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
- Document work progress and maintain accurate project logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and power equipment
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
