Responsibilities
- Assist in construction, maintenance, and repair of public infrastructure (roads, sidewalks, drainage systems)
- Operate hand/power tools and light equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform physical tasks including excavation, material handling, and debris removal
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects on schedule
- Conduct routine inspections and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and materials
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions precisely
- Prefer 1+ years of construction/public works experience
