Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including excavation, grading, and material handling for public infrastructure projects
- Operate light equipment such as jackhammers, saws, and pressure washers under supervision
- Assist in street maintenance, sidewalk repair, and drainage system upkeep
- Support waste collection, recycling programs, and park maintenance operations
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards for all tasks
- Maintain clean and organized job sites throughout workday
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and basic construction methods preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification a plus
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to follow verbal/written instructions
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
